A person dedicated to a more empathetic and symbiotic world. I seek
to offer connection through education and arts-based learning.
We can and we will build a more livable world for all beings.
I am an educator, artist, nerd, sister, and friend. I am deeply passionate about bringing attention to the natural world. I find peace and challenge through spending time outdoors and have dedicated my life to working with people of all ages in various community based settings. I do this because I genuinely believe that being and working together can offer the world the healing it needs. I studied and practiced social work and education, I have chosen to work with people specifically outdoors and connect them with tools for creativity. I believe it is meaningful work, but it is also simply fun. Through this work, I have a become part of lovely intergenerational community and love to spend time making paintings, romping on the trail with my dog, and jumping in any body of water I can.
Things I love: moss, biking!, learning about animals, tidepooling, my dog, snorkeling, dilly dallying around my home, trying to grow plants, talking to people about waste management infrastructure, tending to my little aquarium, hanging out with friends and family, pontificating about life, eating and making soup, hoping for the best, looking at stuff with magnifying glass, the color teal, etc.
Places I have lived: Southern California->St.Louis, Missouri->Catalina Island->Santa Cruz->Seattle
Jobs I have had (in no particular order): marine science instructor, forest science instructor, art programs manager, state parks aide, kayak instructor, sip and paint instructor, sailing instructor, dorm room painter, bike food deliverer, pikes place marketeer, substitute teacher, tall ship pirate, babysitter, dog walker and more.
